Orchha is a village, set amongst a complex of well-preserve palaces and temples. It is definitely worth a visit. Palaces : The Jehangir Mahal Palace is of impressive size and there are good views of the countryside from the upper level. The Raj Mahal Palace nearby has superb murals. Below the Jehangir Mahal is the smaller Raj Pravin Mahal, a palace built near a garden. There is also the Dinman Hardaul's Palace. The walled Phool Bagh gardens, a cool summer retreat, are also worth visiting. Temples : In the centre of the modern village is the Ram Raja Temple with its spires. The Laxmi Narayan Temple is worth the walk for its well-preserved murals.
