Rajeev
Singh catapulted to fame when he became the first Asian Model to win the International
Manhunt 2001 in Beijing. Rajeev never had in his wildest dream dreamt that he
would take up modeling as his career. Hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Rajiv was
involved in his family business and a business trip took him to Europe where he
worked for an import company dealing in artifacts for three years. Then Rajeev
joined his family exports business, and while in Europe, began modeling for the
famous clothing brand NEXT, more as a hobby than a profession. His smart,
dashing looks and great physique was enough to give him the fame. His colleagues
and friends advised him to contest for the manhunt title. They were right, as
he won the Gladrags Manhunt, which sent him off to China to compete in the International
Manhunt. This singular achievement put him one up on mega models Dino Morea, John
Abraham and Rajat Bedi who, though did a commendable job, could only manage the
runners up status in the contest. Rajiv has done print ads for Clinic All Clear,
London Pilsner, Vivaldi Shirts, Moustach Jeans and features in TV Commercials
of All Clear, London Pilsner.
Ever since there is no looking back for
this handsome hunk as he features in almost all the leading fashion shows held
in India. Rajiv was one of the models chosen to participate in The Lakme India
Fashion Show 2002 for a host of fashion designers including Ritu Kumar, Tarun
Tahiliani, Aki Narula, Rohit Bal, Rocky S, J J Vallaya and Monisha Bajaj. The
current title also gets him international modeling assignments for three years
in Europe and Asia. Presently, he is gearing up for a rampage on the international
runway. |
