For Lakshmi winning the Miss India world title was a dream come true. She aspires to be an international model and take Indian modelling to great heights on the global map. Lakshmi has walked the Ramp for major fashion names like Hemant Trivedi, Prasad Bidappa, Lubna Adam, Anu Ahuja, Sharmila Khanna and Priyanka Singh. She has participated in International shows in Sri Lanka, Beijing, China and Dubai. She has also done ad campaigns for Godrej Fair Glow Soap, Fortune Cooking Oil, Lakhani Shoes and Himalaya Neem extract, and appeared in press shoots and catalogues.

Lakshmi loves dancing and swimming and her hobby is pencil sketching. She stood second in the Karnataka State Bharatnatyam (junior grade) Competition in the year 1991. When asked to define beauty Lakshmi says “God gives you one face and you make yourself another!” The God given face is what is called external beauty, which stays upto your youth.
