Winner of Gladrags Male Model Contest in the mid-nineties, Kelly has kept his career low profile. After winning the title not mush was known of him and he once again came into the limelight as Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta´s boyfriend.

Kelly hails from Bhutan and did his schooling St Pauls, Darjeeling. It was while he was studying at St. Xaviers College, Mumbai, he met Lara Dutta. He was spotted by Rasna Behl, a the model co-ordinator who advised him to enter the world of fashion and modeling and that was how he got introduced to the glitter and fame. Besides modelling, ramp shows and hosting a television show, Kelly recently acted in an off beat film, Auroville 316 by Shamin Desai. Kelly's favourite designers are Rohit Bal, J J Valaya, Hemant Trevedi. Recently Kelly has been offered a French film, Samsara, about a monk who comes out of solitude and his personal torment.
