Jyoti Brahmin from Kolkata was crowned the new Femina Miss India-Earth 2004 in place of Sayali Bhagat who is the new Femina Miss India-World 2004. Laxmi Pandit, who won the Femina Miss India-World 2004 title, relinquished the crown following the controversy over her marital status.

Jyoti believes that life is full if opportunities and adventure and one has to be ready for everything. For her winning the crown was more than a dream. She was disappointed though when she stood fourth but she is thankful to God that somehow her hard work has paid off.

Jyoti wants to pursue modelling as a full time career, but without comprising on values and ethics. She has modelled for Sananda Tilotama, Kolkata 2003. Jyoti believes that physical beauty is a passing phase, it is momentary. To remain beautiful for life, there has to be inner beauty. Winning the Sananda Tilotama, Kolkata 2003, has been her happiest moment so far.

A person of varied interests Jyoti loves reading, listening to music, and playing Basketball and Badminton. Jyoti has also won the TBZ Miss Original and Miss Beautiful Eyes titles.
