Dipannita has started her modeling career from Delhi and has very recently moved to Mumbai. Having worked with all the fashion gurus in the capital like JJ Valaya, Ravi Bajaj, Suneet Verma, Dipannita has now conquered the fashion world at Mumbai and has worked and walked the ramp for a host of fashion designers including Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Aki Narula, Rocky S and Monisha Bajaj and also has participate and walked the ramp at Lakme India fashion week 2001 and 2002.

Born in Assam this history student from Delhi University used to habitually participate in fashion shows, held at college. Two years back, she even participated in Miss India and was adjudged fourth. Winner of Miss Photogenic in the same contest, Dipannita feels that the contest was a good platform for her to be noticed. She has done Ads like Synergie, Hero Honda CBZ, Seagrams, Kwality Walls. Press Ads include Arisia Diamonds, Monte Carlo, Oberoi Hotels, Seagrams. She has also featured in TV Serial called Life Nahi Hai Ladoo.

Dipannita who is blessed with a flawless complexion (despite her great appetite for fried food and chocolates) has been signed by Laboratories Garnier, Paris, to promote its Synergie range of skin care stuff. Dipannita, is also a nimble-footed classical dancer when not walking the ramp and wants to make it big in the film industry. She has also done a movie with Milind Soman called 16th December which was her first movie and she says she simply loved the experience. However she also adds that she will also continue modeling since modeling is her first love.
