Bikram hit the headlines when he was crowned Graviera Man of the Year, and later when he managed a slot among the top ten contestants for the "Mr World" pageant the same year. A decade ago when Bikram entered the world of fashion, everyone was pretty awestruck with his sheer male magnificence. He was written off as one of the most handsome men of the world.

But did you know that the handsome model and actor, was once a fine tennis player too? When barely 13, this ardent sportsman made it to Dennis Vandermeer Tennis Academy in South Carolina, USA. He played the nationals in 1990 and later represented India at international tournaments in Southeast Asia and even reached Junior Wimbledon. He was all set for a career in tennis, but destiny had something else in store for him.

Bikram had a successful career on the ramp and was very successful when he wanted to do something different. He moved on to theatre and did music videos with Bali Brahmbhatt´s Tere bin jeena nahin with Anupama Verma and later with Asha Bhosle´s Parde mein rahne do. After doing plays like Vasavadatta, The Big A and Kiski biwi kiska shohar, where Bikram's efforts were appreciated by a select few, he decided to try a hand in films. We recently saw him in Khalid Mohammed´s debut venture Fiza, where he played the low-profile love interest of Karisma Kapoor.
