He is the twin brother of Vijay Balhara and both the brothers with their killer looks are ruling the fashion world. It is hard, very hard to tell Ajay from Vijay. But you can make out the difference once you start speaking to them. While Ajay is the outgoing, go-getter type, Vijay is more of an introvert. Ajay won the Gladrags Manhunt second runner-up title in 1999 and his career has been going great guns ever since.

On how it felt to have a twin in the same industry, "It´s good! It fetches us a lot of attention. But it gets irritating sometimes when designers say, ´we can´t use both the boys, as we need some variety in the looks.´ At certain times, this has been an advantage too! Like when Vijay went for my shoot as I was busy with some other engagements."

Both the brothers have walked the ramp for top designers and have also participated in The Lakme India Fashion Show 2002 for a host of fashion designers including Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Aki Narula, Rohit Bal, Rocky S, J J Vallaya and Monisha Bajaj. Ajay has done print Ads for Indigo Nation, Digjam Suitings & Liberty Shoes.
