Pure vegetable broths, with no seasonings added, are also good. To prepare these, gently boil vegetables including lots of onions and garlic, for 30 minutes. Do not eat the stew but strain the broth and drink the juice 2-3 times a day. Though you may feel hungry since your body is not toned to have this kind of food but still juices, broths and water will keep you quite full as well as give you more nutrients than most people take in. However don't drink orange or tomato juice on a fast.
