Jo Bole So Nihaal

Cast: Sunny Deol, Shilpi Sharma, Kamaal Khan, Nupur Mehta Producer: N.R Pachisia Director: Rahul Rawail Music: Anand Raaj Anand Lyrics: Dev Kohli

Nihaal Singh (Sunny Deol) is an immensely naive, hard working and loveable cop working in Punjab Police. Everyone loves him for his honesty and friendly nature. But an encounter with Romeo (Kamaal Khan), a dreaded mercenary, changes Nihaal Singh's life. Taking advantage of Nihaal Singh's innocence Romeo escapes from the clutches of law. Once out of jail Romeo goes on a killing spree across the globe. Nihaal Singh is branded a traitor and suspended from duty. But what really breaks Nihaal's heart is that even his near and dear ones think that he has helped Romeo escape. Amidst all this Romeo lands in New York and FBI suspects that he plans to assassinate the President of USA. But no one knows what Romeo looks like, expect Nihaal Singh. So, Nihaal Singh packs bags on the request of FBI and leaves to nab Romeo and possibly clear his name, bring back the lost glory and honor of his family. The movie has lots of comedy scenes and keep you interested throughout. Director Rahul Rawail is an interesting storyteller. He merges comedy and action very intelligently and narrates a tale that has several attention grabbing moments. However post-interval the movie looses grip on the story. Besides, the narrative gets quite slow paced in this half. The climax is another downer. You expect an exhilarating conclusion to the film, but the finale is so long-drawn that the impact gets diluted. Performance wise the film belongs to Sunny. He gives a great performance. Kamaal Khan doesn't register an impact. Shilpi Sharma doesn't get much scope. The dialogues [Sanjay Chhel] are amongst the highpoints of the film. Cinematography is excellent. Music [Anand Raaj Anand] is quite alright. Overall quite an entertaining film.
