Three college friends Rahul (Akshay Kapoor), Tanya (Tanisha) and Goldie (Yash Tonk) call their group the Kurta Gang. Tanya is in love with Rahul and Goldie is in love with Tanya. But Rahul is in love with a new student, Sonia (Rashmi Nigam). After college, Rahul comes to Mumbai to become a music director and decides not to see his friends for five years till he becomes famous. He gets a break through VK (Deepak Tijori), who is Sonia's dad, but soon learns that Sonia already has a boyfriend Yash (Kabir Sadanand). Sounds like the same run of the mill romantic story, isn't it? Well it is so but it gets really irritating with so many love triangles put together. The love stories [Yash loves Tanisha, who in turn loves Akshay, who in turn seems smitten by Rashmi, who in turn is engaged to be married to Kabir, who in turn is in love with himself ans gives no attention to Rashmi] go round and round and by the time it reaches the climax, you actually heave a sigh of relief. Debutante Kabir Sadanand has chosen the right idea keeping in mind today's youth, but the screenplay [penned by Kabir himself] lets him down completely. The scripting is so amateurish and insipid that one wonders how it was okayed in the first place. Performance wise newcomer Akshay Kapoor is good in emotional scenes, but otherwise, he is bad. Rashmi Nigam is a mess. Tanisha sleep walks through the entire role. Yash Tonk is ok. Deepak Tijori is natural. Kabir is just okay. Vishal-Shekhar's music is a major asset and in fact, the saving grace. Overall, dont even venture near the theatre. The film should have been titles Popcorn Khao....bore ho jao!!
