A few days back Neha Dhupia made a statement that either SRK or Sex sells in this country and it seems thats has become the core factor in making films lately. With films like Jism, Murder, Hawas doing well at the box office, more and more films are selling sex and nudity. And this is one more film on the same topic. Julie is the story of a young and ambitious girl from Goa who as every other girl wants a loving husband and a home and family of her own. Sadly, her boyfriend is only interested in money, a successful business, and all that goes with it. He pursues his dreams, leaving her in the lurch. The heartbroken girl lands in Mumbai. However due to some unfortunate circumstances she is forced to start a profession in prostitution. Well actually why she had to venture in this field is something not really explained. So the story actually starts with an interview of a young and rich eligible bachelor Mihir Shandilya (Priyanshu Chatterjee) talks of his love to a girl Julie (Neha Dhupia) and how he wants to marry her. Now the TV show also wants Julie to be on the show. Julie when interviews, reveals everything about her life and why she was forced into prostitution. Mihir initially is shocked and he is very upset. Later he realizes that she was very good by being true and bold enough to tell everything to the whole world. Later he marries her. The film has an open and end storyline. There is a lot of hype about the sex scenes however they have not been executed well. The kiss between Sanjay Kapoor and Neha Dhupia is also over played. There are so many scenes, which are not required. Neha Dhupia exposes her assets well, but is not able to display her histrionics to the best of her abilities. However, her acting is a vast improvement over her previous films. Direction is horrible. Dialogues of the film are extremely pathetic. Overall sex doesn't sell all the time so please stop making such sick films.
