Garv is the story of cops or rather say one cop Arjun Ranawat (Salman Khan), who will do whatever it takes to get justice done. He hates crime and criminals and he is a man of principles. He considers the anti-social elements as his enemy and fights against all odds & against the dishonest people. Supporting him in his quest for justice and peace are Samar Singh (Amrish Puri) and Hyder Ali (Arbaaz Khan). Hyder Ali and Arjun are best friends and under the guidance of Samar Singh crack the underworld and prevent them from carrying out illegal activities. But the enemy plays a foul game and Arjun's mother (Farida Jalal) and sister (Akanksha) are their prey. Arjun is angry ? he wants revenge? And he decides to take the law into his own hands. Whether he takes his revenge forms the rest of the story. Shilpa Shetty plays the role of a bar dancer Jannat who loves Arjun and is ready to lay down herself and her life for him. Director Punit Issar has transformed the movie into a TV serial with melodramatic performance. There is nothing innovative in the movie. The movie loses ground soon after it takes off. Salman Khan is impressive. He has really grown into a mature actor. Arbaaz Khan is good and so is Amrish Puri. Shilpa Shetty is attractive and the pair of Salman and Shilpa looks hot. Songs however disappoint. The music is not up to the mark. Overall if you are a Salman Khan fan then you can go watch the movie which offers lot of action from the actor and a great performance.
