A mindblowing fashion show, organised by India's top most fashion designer Ritu Beri was held in New Delhi at the ball room of Hyatt Regency hotel on Saturday April 7.

After having made a strong fashion statement internationally, ritu unziped her imagination to perfectionm at a fashion show in new delhi recently. the show saw this talented designer give a new meaning to "zippers".

She showed how zippers can be used as a tool to create pieces of sheer artistic excellence from fabrics of different shades, colours and texture. By her innovative and spunky use of zippers, Ritu created bold designs for the youth as well as for those young at heart.

Her collection at an unusual show, which displayed how designer zippers were making strong inroads into the fashiom world here, included trendy pants, mini skirts, dresses and corsets in denims, bright corduroys, army fatigues and gold silver faux leather symbolising energetic, spirited, fresh and carefree life of the modern empowered women.

To present the collections to a strong cheering crowd of Fashion -lovers at the Ball room of Hyatt regency hotel were famous models like Mehar Bhasin, Manpreet Brar, Netra Raghuraman, Fluer Xaviers and Annie Thomas.

The collection with "indian reflection" had strong use of colours like black, yellow, red and orange. the collection might appear to be a pretty bold statement for which indians are not prepared yet but the designs are in tune with the energetic lifestyle of indian youths who belive in the spirits of having fun.

Ritu is the first and the only indian designer to present her creations at "la semaine de la haute couture" in paris and was invited by swarovski to present her "spring/summer 2000 collection" at vienna.
