 The
Lakme India Fashion Week 2004, was held in New Delhi
from 27th April to 3rd May. 57 leading designers showcased
their collections which were brought to life by 50 leading
Indian Models. As always Lakme India Fashion Week 2004,
aims to serve as an effective platform to promote Indian
Fashion Design and provides industry professionals with
the opportunity to form trade linkages within India
and abroad.
The
show was a great success displaying Prêt (ready-to-wear)
and Diffusion (a line between ready-to-wear and couture)
lines in ethnic, indo-western and western categories.
The primary objective of this event was to create business
relationships between designers and trade buyers and
media and to bring Indian Fashion and Designs on the
forefront.
